Sales & Support for Servers
All these wonderful things our computers do, don’t happen on a single machine. We’re usually connecting to another computer, either in our office or somewhere else in the world. As the name implies, a server, provides services. Whether it is email, web pages, databases, files, or any number of other things, servers require special attention. Redundancy, extra power, and security are just some of these considerations. With years of experience working in data centers and offices, you can be sure we have the knowledge and experience to keep your servers running smoothly.
We have been working with Windows servers for a very long time, while staying up to date on the latest technologies. So whether you have a legacy system running Windows NT Server, Windows Server 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2012, we can help.
Microsoft Exchange is a very popular communications platform for business that manages calendars, email, and contacts. It is available as a hosted solution through Microsoft or another hosting company, or as a standalone system for the organization. Most modern smartphones come equipped with Microsoft Exchange connectivity built in. Additionally, Microsoft Exchange provides a web based email client, so users can access their email from anywhere. These features are almost without rival in the marketplace, making Exchange an irreplaceable resource for many businesses and organizations.
We use exchange for our own email system. We have managed exchange servers for clients, and negotiated hosted solutions for them as well. We’ve been working with Exchange for years, so you can be confident that we have the knowledge and experience to provide you with excellent Microsoft Exchange service, whatever the needs of your organization.
Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services)
Formerly known as Internet Information Server, IIS is Microsoft’s web, FTP, and application server. IIS comes standard with Windows Server operating systems. While Linux/Apache has far more of the web server market, some systems require IIS, and for intranet purposes it sometimes makes more sense to run the site from an already available Windows Server. We are IIS experts with years of experience in both Internet and intranet use of this platform.
Linux is a free, and open source system. This means anybody can download and use it free of charge, and even view and edit the original source code. This wide availability and openness makes Linux a very stable and secure operating system, and hence it is the top choice for many server environments.
Our own web servers run Linux, and we have been working with these types of systems for over a decade. So you can be confident that we have the knowledge and experience to keep your servers running smoothly.
